The Equatorial Guinea Football Association has been fined £65,000 after crowd trouble marred the Africa Cup of Nations semi-final with Ghana.
With their team losing 3-0 with eight minutes remaining, supporters of Equatorial Guinea threw missiles onto the pitch, which resulted in a section of Ghana fans being trapped at the side of the playing area after officials had attempted to lead them to safety.
A helicopter was eventually used to aid efforts to restart the match, and although Ghana were able to confirm their place in the final, the Equatorial Guinea FA faces ramifications after the incident that marred the closing stages.
As well as the fine, they must also meet the cost of treatment of supporters who were injured during the crowd trouble.
