Espanyol boss Javier Aguirre is facing a possible four-match ban for an alleged incident involving the referee in his side's 1-0 loss to Osasuna at the weekend.
The Mexican was sent to the stands during the La Liga contest, with reports suggesting that he used 'insulting and derogatory language' towards Spanish official Iglesias Villanueva.
It is understood that the competition committee will meet on Wednesday to review Aguirre's comments, which could see him handed a four-match suspension.
Should that punishment be awarded, Aguirre would be absent from the touchline for both legs of Espanyol's Copa del Rey tie with Alcorcon and upcoming league games against Real Madrid and Celta Vigo.
