Espanyol president Joan Collet has called on his side to continue improving in 2014.
The Spanish outfit are firmly established in La Liga after a succession of respectable finishes, but Collet is hopeful that the Barcelona-based club can push on after Christmas.
"We must look to surpass 2013, where institutionally things have been a lot calmer than in 2012, but we are a football team and people value winning and achieving goals. I am sure that 2014 will be better," he told reporters at a press conference.
"If the team does well, this institution deserves to have ambitious targets and expectations. This will mark the club."
Espanyol currently sit ninth in La Liga.
