Pizzi has admitted that he has struggled to produce on a regular basis for Espanyol this season.
The 24-year-old, who spent last season on loan at Deportivo La Coruna, is contracted to Benfica, but joined Espanyol on a loan deal at the start of the season.
The Portuguese has struggled to contribute at the Spanish club in the new campaign, but is confident that he can turn things around.
"Everyone expects a lot from me. I really have wanted to change. I can't hang my head, but pick myself up and work hard to be an important starter for the team," he told reporters at a press conference.
"I came here with high expectations, but pressure has never affected me. I always respect the decisions of the manager and if you are on the bench, you work harder.
"A goal may change all of this, that's very important for a player. I wish I would score as fast as possible so I can build my confidence back up."
Pizzi has scored once in two games for Portugal.
