Christian Stuani has revealed his delight after signing a new long-term contract with Espanyol.
The 28-year-old, who is currently in his third season with the Spanish club, has extended his deal until 2018.
"This is special and I'm very grateful to the club for putting their faith in me, not just in renewing my contract but for everything they've done for me since I arrived," Stuani told reporters.
"I've always felt the affection of the fans and I thank God for this opportunity because it's an honour to wear the Espanyol shirt."
The Uruguay international has netted nine league goals in 24 matches for Espanyol this season.
