It was a good night for the English clubs in the Europa League with both Liverpool and Newcastle United grinding out 1-0 wins in this evening's late kickoffs.
Atletico Madrid and Dnipro maintained their 100% records, while there were also wins for Borussia Monchengladbach, Fenerbahce and Steaua Bucuresti.
Both Udinese Napoli slumped to surprise defeats in an evening that Italian teams will be hoping to forget.

Group A: Liverpool are the new leaders of Group A following their 1-0 home victory over Anzhi Makhachkala. Young Boys recorded a surprise 3-1 win over Udinese in tonight's other match
Group B: Athletico Madrid kept up their 100% record in the competition, defeating Academica of Portugal 2-1. Plzen moved into second place, beating Hapoel Tel Aviv by the same scoreline in Israel, and are currently three points behind the Spaniards.
Group C: Fenerbahce narrowly defeated AEL Limassol to move into pole position in the group, but the battle for second place heated up after Borussia Monchengladbach's 2-0 home victory over Marseille left both teams with four points.
Group D: Newcastle United are in a strong position to qualify for the next phase following their 1-0 victory over Club Brugge. Bordeaux lie in second, three points behind leaders Newcastle, after playing out a 1-1 draw with winless Maritimo.
Group E: Steaua Bucuresti came out 2-0 winners at home to Norwegian side Molde, leaving them at the summit of Group E on seven points. FC Copenhagen are in second on four points following their goalless draw with Stuttgart.
Group F: Ukrainian side Dnipro claimed an impressive scalp with their 3-1 defeat of Napoli to keep up their 100% record and top the group. PSV Eindhoven were held 1-1 with AIK, leaving them in second place, one point ahead of the Italians.
