Football agent Mino Raiola has taken to Instagram to share his views on the European Super League, largely condemning the plan over the treatment of players.
Raiola represents many top players in Europe, Erling Braut Haaland, Matthijs De Ligt and Paul Pogba amongst others, and has used the Football Forum, an international movement of players and agents, to have his say on the Super League.
The agent expressed concerns that no players were consulted before the breakaway league plans were signed and agreed upon, but does suggest that change is needed in European competitions.
An Instagram post shared by Raiola stated that: "The Football Forum (TFF) stands to protect and secure player's rights. Players must not suffer negative consequences because of developments in football. Players have not been a part of any talks, have had no say in this week's events and nonetheless they are being used in this discussion.
"One point, however, is clear and confirms what we have been saying for years: the current system is not sustainable – it's time for change in a way that makes sense for all members of the football world."
UEFA, the Premier League and the FA have also all condemned the Super League proposal. body check tags ::
