Leon Osman is confident that Everton boast enough quality to win the Europa League this season.
The Toffees cruised through the group stages and now gear up for a round-of-32 tie with Swiss giants Young Boys on Thursday night.
The trip to Bern comes too soon for Osman, who has been out with an ankle injury since December, but the veteran midfielder says that his teammates can lay the foundations for a European title.
"It's important for us, the Europa League. We've now got into the knockout stages of this competition, so we certainly want to have a go at winning it," he told the club's official website.
"This is our first two-legged affair, good old fashioned European knockout football and we're confident we can do well."
Liverpool and Tottenham Hotspur also remain in the competition and will get their knockout campaigns underway tomorrow with ties against Besiktas and Fiorentina respectively.
