Everton goalkeeper Tim Howard has said that the United States should be interested in the club's FA Cup tie with Fulham tomorrow night.
Two of the nation's most famous players – Clint Dempsey and Landon Donovan – are scheduled to go head to head as the Toffees take on the Cottagers at Goodison Park, and Howard insists that their talents are key to the US national team's success.
"I would hope there'll be a big American interest," he told the club's official website. "They are two of our biggest marquee players, not because of their marketability, how they dress or the way they look but because they are our best players bar none.
"From a US national team standpoint they're the key cogs. We need to have Landon Donovan and Clint Dempsey at their best to make waves, win competitions, qualify for World Cups and so on."
Dempsey and Donovan have combined for over 200 appearances for the US national team.
