Everton manager Marco Silva has confirmed that defender Michael Keane was taken to hospital after clashing heads with teammate Idrissa Gueye during Saturday's 2-2 draw at Bournemouth.
The 25-year-old centre-back was tended to by medical personnel on the Vitality Stadium pitch before being taken off on a stretcher in injury time after a delay of about six minutes.
Having earlier scored to put the Toffees two goals up, Keane was replaced in the 95th minute by debutant loanee Kurt Zouma as Silva admitted to nervously waiting for updates on his player's condition.
"I hope it's nothing serious," Silva told BBC Sport. "He went to the hospital. I wait for updates. It is not a good thing for us."
Bournemouth scored twice in quick succession to ensure a share of the spoils, with Nathan Ake netting a 79th-minute equaliser after both sides had been reduced to 10 men.
