Everton manager Roberto Martinez has hailed goalscorers Ross Barkley and Gerard Deulofeu after the Toffees came from 1-0 down to beat Reading in the third round of the League Cup.
The Toffees secured a 2-1 win at the Madejski Stadium thanks to second-half strikes from Barkley and Deulofeu to put them into the hat for round four.
Martinez credited the Royals for the way that the Championship side approached the game, but he praised the "sensational" Deulofeu and Barkley's maturity after the win.
"You have to give credit to Reading," he told the club website. "We had to change it tactically so that we could penetrate more and get the extra pass.
"Gerard came up with that bit of magic that turned out to be the winning goal. He is a sensational talent.
"For someone as young as Ross, to have 100 games for our club is a big landmark. He plays as if he were much older."
Everton now do not play until September 28, when they travel to The Hawthorns to face West Bromwich Albion in the Premier League.
