The midfielder rose through the youth ranks at the Basque club, before moving into the first-team setup to make his senior debut in April 2019.

The 25-year-old has gone on to register a total of 187 competitive appearances and establish himself as a key part of the Real Sociedad squad.

The 25-year-old has been a regular fixture in the Sociedad team this season, featuring in 30 La Liga matches, scoring on four occasions and providing one assist.

Zubimendi has also appeared on five occasions for his national side since earning a first senior call-up for Spain during the summer of 2021.

Man Utd, Arsenal, Man City 'learn price of limited-time Guimaraes release clause'

Manchester United, Arsenal and Manchester City have reportedly learnt the price Bruno Guimaraes's limited-time release clause.

The 26-year-old has been a key figure for Newcastle United since making the switch from Ligue 1 outfit Lyon to St James' Park during the January transfer window of 2022.

Joining the team in the midst of a relegation battle, Guimaraes went on to help the Magpies to a fourth-placed finish and subsequent Champions League qualification during the 2022-23 term.

Despite being part of a disappointing group-stage exit from Europe earlier in the campaign, the midfielder has still enjoyed a productive time in the North East, providing 10 goal contributions in 32 Premier League appearances.

Man United 'identify top striker target this summer'

Manchester United have reportedly identified RB Leipzig's Benjamin Sesko as their leading forward target this summer but have accepted that it will be difficult to sign him.

The Red Devils will be in the market for a new striker in the upcoming market, with the club needing to bring in competition and support for Rasmus Hojlund, who has 14 goals in his debut season at Old Trafford.

Man United are likely to miss out on Champions League football for next season, as they sit 13 points behind fourth-placed Aston Villa in the Premier League table, albeit with a game in hand.

However, the club are still planning to be active in the summer window under the guidance of new minority shareholder Sir Jim Ratcliffe and his team.

Newcastle 'leading Arsenal, Chelsea, Liverpool in race for £68m defender'

Newcastle United are reportedly ahead of a number of Premier League rivals in the race to sign a highly-rated defender this summer.

In sharp contrast to the team that performed superbly at the back in 2022-23, the Magpies have conceded 54 goals from 33 games during 2023-24.

As a result, Eddie Howe's side are in a fight to secure European football for next season, the club currently sitting in seventh position in the Premier League standings.

Although Newcastle will naturally be making plans for the transfer market, which reopens in June, their spending power will be influenced by whether they are able to add continental action to their schedule.

Chelsea are reportedly expected to miss out on the summer signing of Napoli forward Victor Osimhen.

The Blues have been continuously linked with the Nigeria international for a number of transfer windows, a consequence of his impressive form in Serie A.

Last season, Osimhen posted 26 goals from just 32 appearances as Napoli ended a wait of in excess of three decades to win another top-flight crown.

However, at a time when Napoli have under-performed domestically this campaign, there has been an acceptance that the 25-year-old will depart Stadio Diego Armando Maradona at the end of the season.
