Everton defender Seamus Coleman insists that he is not giving up on his dream of finishing fourth in the Premier League this season.

Seamus Coleman has urged his Everton teammates not to give up on their dream of finishing fourth in the Premier League this season.

Despite being in a good position for most of the season, Everton have lost ground on their rivals and currently sit nine points behind Liverpool, who occupy fourth spot.

However, Coleman believes that the Toffees cannot afford to admit defeat in the race for a spot in the Champions League.

"I'm really disappointed that we've faded off fourth a bit in the last couple of weeks," the 25-year-old told reporters. "But personally I'm holding onto the dream even though I know it's difficult. We just need to keep going.

"We're still aiming to finish as high up the table as we can, and whether it's Champions League or Europa League personally I'd like to play in Europe at some level and hopefully it can be next season."

Everton host West Ham in the Premier League on Saturday afternoon.
