Everton chairman Bill Kenwright has claimed that manager Roberto Martinez is already "in love" with the club.
The former Wigan Athletic boss took charge at Goodison Park last month following the departure of David Moyes to Manchester United.
"Roberto's not patient! He wants to be in there, wants to be with the players, wants to be at it," Kenwright told the Liverpool Echo.
"He's excited about the pre-season tours to Austria and America - I've told him to bring us home a trophy. He's in love. He's in love with Everton."
Martinez will start working with his players for the first time next week as the Toffees begin their pre-season training.
