Everton manager Roberto Martinez has revealed that he is interested to see how his side can compare with the Premier League's top sides when they travel to Stamford Bridge on Saturday to take on Chelsea.
Martinez said that while his team are only in a battle for the top four this season the Chelsea game will show how far they need to come in order to push on even more.
"The game we have at the weekend is going to tell us a lot," he told BBC Sport. "It's important that as a team we keep working, we keep developing and keep getting stronger, but only when you get in a match against teams that are competing in the Champions League do you get a clear idea how far away you are."
Everton are sixth in the Premier League, eight points behind fourth-placed Liverpool.
