Everton manager Roberto Martinez has praised the all-round performance of returning striker Arouna Kone in last night's defeat at the hands of FC Krasnodar.
The Ivorian started for the first time since injuring his knee last October to lead the line in the Toffees' 1-0 home defeat in the Europa League.
Speaking after the game, Martinez told reporters: "I was very impressed. He looked sharp, he looked lively. Not just the fact he managed to play 90 minutes, I thought he looked very powerful. He got in great positions, his hold-up play was very strong."
Kone has made seven appearances for Everton since joining from Wigan Athletic in 2013 for an undisclosed fee.
