Roberto Martinez has said that he is looking forward to his first competitive home game as Everton manager this weekend.
The Toffees play their first Premier League match at Goodison Park of the season against West Bromwich Albion tomorrow.
The Spaniard told the club's website: "It's definitely up there [as a special moment]. The first friendly was special but the first competitive game will be even more special. It will be an incredible moment.
"But football is about players and not managers, and once you get into the competition all that matters is performing well and winning football matches, and we won't lose focus of that.
"Always the first home game is a great memory for a manager but the memory will be around the result and the performance and the relationship I can see between the fans and the players."
Martinez's first Premier League match in charge of the side ended in a 2-2 draw with Norwich City last weekend.
