Everton manager Roberto Martinez has become the latest coach to question the timing of the summer transfer window.
A number of managers, including Newcastle United boss Alan Pardew, have called for the window to be closed before the start of the season in order to prevent any disruption to clubs and players.
"I think the transfer window is getting out of hand, and really affecting the values of the league," Martinez said in a press conference.
"I think it's affecting the human side of the players in a very unfair manner and it's about time that we stopped the window or we stop the official games in the middle of the window."
Martinez has also revealed that Manchester United have not returned with an improved offer for Marouane Fellaini and Leighton Baines.
