Everton manager Roberto Martinez insists that his side is still in contention for Champions League football.

Everton manager Roberto Martinez believes that his side is still capable of finishing in the top four of the Premier League despite falling behind Liverpool and Tottenham Hotspur.

The Blues dropped to sixth last weekend after losing 1-0 at Spurs, but the Spaniard is refusing to give up on his dream of securing Champions League football.

"It is retrievable," he told reporters. "We have all seen the league this season. It never stops to surprise us. There are many, many points to play for and what is really exciting is at this moment the form of the team is starting to get stronger.

"There is everything to play for. The fight for the title, the Champions League positions, the Europa League and relegation is as tight as it has ever been.

"Everyone is saying they don't want to win the league. We would be quite happy to win the league. There is everything to play for and there is everything to be won over the next 12 to 13 weeks."

Everton's Premier League clash against Crystal Palace on Wednesday evening was called off due to severe weather in the North-West.
