Gylfi Sigurdsson has claimed that he has high hopes for Everton's new signing Cenk Tosun.
The 26-year-old completed a £27m switch from Besiktas to Goodison Park last Friday.
The Toffees have struggled for consistency in front of goal this season, netting 25 goals in 22 Premier League games, with Wayne Rooney top-scoring on 10 strikes.
Sigurdsson is aware of Tosun's ability, having played against the Turkish forward three times on the international stage with Iceland.
"Every good player who comes to the club is a positive and he is one of them," the Liverpool Echo quotes the midfielder as saying. "Hopefully he will play well for the club.
"I have played against him a couple of times for Iceland, so I know he is a good player. Hopefully, he will settle in quickly and hit the ground running."
Tosun could make his debut on Saturday against Tottenham Hotspur.
