Everton lineup vs. Wolves: Predicted XI in must-win Premier League clash for Sean Dyche

:Headline: Everton lineup vs. Wolves: Predicted XI in must-win Premier League clash for Sean Dyche:
Sports Mole takes an in-depth look at how Everton could line up for their Premier League clash at home to Wolverhampton Wanderers on Wednesday.

Everton manager Sean Dyche is set to reinstate striker Dominic Calvert-Lewin to the starting lineup when they face Wolverhampton Wanderers in the Premier League on Wednesday.

Calvert-Lewin was dropped for the first time this season against Manchester United on Sunday, with Beto being handed his first league start of the campaign in the 4-0 defeat.

Beto certainly did not do much wrong in a frustrating day that saw numerous defensive errors being punished, but a pattern that has emerged suggests that the stand-in striker will not keep his place.

The Guinea-Bissau international has only started 10 PL games for Everton, and five of the last six have come away to Man United twice, away to Chelsea, away to Newcastle United and at home to Manchester City, with Calvert-Lewin often starting in the games that Dyche perceived as more winnable.

Everton supporters will be hopeful that Armando Broja can make an appearance in some capacity though, with the Albanian nearing ever closer to a debut after featuring twice for the Under-21s last week.

Youssef Chermiti is also close to a return after undergoing surgery on his foot over the summer, but remains a few weeks behind Broja in his recovery.

Elsewhere on the injury front, James Garner is yet to return to training, while fellow midfielder Tim Iroegbunam is also not ready to return from a foot injury of his own.

After a pitiful defensive performance at Old Trafford, there have been calls for personnel changes in the back four, with poor performances from Vitalii Mykolenko and James Tarkowski in particular being placed under the spotlight.

Tarkowski was taken off in a league game, excluding injury, for the first time in over 10 years at the weekend, as his disappointing display was rounded off by conceded possession in a dangerous area before Man United's fourth goal.

Nathan Patterson got a rare runout late on, and Seamus Coleman is also back from injury, so changes could be afoot at full-back too, but Ashley Young is set to keep his place, continuing to be one of Everton's better performers at 39 years of age.

Jesper Lindstrom's place in the side is also under threat after he offered little in attack, meaning he still has not registered a goal or assist in a senior fixture since midway through the 2022-23 season.

Everton possible starting lineup: Pickford; Young, Tarkowski, Branthwaite, Mykolenko; Gueye, Doucoure; Harrison, McNeil, Ndiaye; Calvert-Lewin
