Everton defender Sylvain Distin has insisted that he wants to remain at the club beyond the end of the season.
The 34-year-old's current deal will expire in the summer, but he has revealed a desire to commit his future to the Toffees.
"Becoming a free agent next summer? My first choice would be to stay at Everton. My second choice is to stay in England at a different club. It is so amazing here," he told L'Equipe.
Distin has previously played for Newcastle United, Manchester City and Portsmouth.
