Everton manager Roberto Martinez is reportedly preparing a £4m bid for long-term transfer target Aiden McGeady.
Martinez launched a failed attempt to sign McGeady last season while in charge at Wigan Athletic, with Spartak Moscow deciding to keep the Republic of Ireland international despite interest throughout January.
With McGeady entering the final year of his contract the Russian giants will reportedly be more receptive to offers for the winger this summer, as they look to strengthen in other areas during the close season.
The Toffees are ready to pounce and could attempt to sign the 27-year-old in a cut-price £4m deal, according to The Mirror.
McGeady has played 60 times for his country alongside successive Champions League campaigns at Spartak.
Former club Celtic and Fulham are also thought to be monitoring his availability this summer.
