Everton have reportedly been left furious with Paris Saint-Germain following their pursuit of midfielder Idrissa Gueye during the closing stages of the transfer window.
The Ligue 1 champions saw a £21.5m bid rejected before negotiations continued on deadline day, but Everton ruled out an exit during the afternoon.
PSG then returned with an improved offer of €30m (£26.2m) less than two hours before the deadline, which Everton quickly rejected despite the player's desire to leave.
The Mirror reports that the Toffees are unhappy with PSG's attempts to unsettle Gueye in order to help their chances of signing him on the cheap.
Gueye is understood to be angry with the club at not allowing him to leave, although Everton believe that PSG were never serious about meeting their valuation of around £40m.
Everton are back in action on Saturday when they host Wolverhampton Wanderers at Goodison Park.
