Sampdoria midfielder Lucas Torreira has reportedly emerged as a summer transfer target for Everton.
The Merseyside outfit are currently without a manager but it appears that plans to add to the club's first-team squad are already in place.
According to Calciomercato, Everton are keen on bringing Torreira to Goodison Park, with the Uruguayan having impressed in his three years at Sampdoria.
Since signing from Pescara in 2015, the 22-year-old has made 71 appearances in Serie A and the South American's performances have allegedly led to interest from Napoli.
Torreira - who has earned one cap for his country - still has four years remaining on his contract but the player's release clause is said to stand at £22m.
The Premier League outfit are expected to complete the appointment of Marco Silva by the end of the week.
