Everton are considering a bid for Swiss full-back Reto Ziegler after Juventus placed him on the transfer list.
The 26-year-old spent last season on loan at Fenerbahce and is not part of Antonio Conte's plans for the new season.
Ziegler has plenty of Premier League experience, having played for both Tottenham Hotspur and Wigan Athletic.
Toffees boss David Moyes has already signed Scottish forward Steven Naismith as he looks to add to his squad ready for a European push this season.
