Sporting Lisbon striker Seydou Doumbia has reportedly emerged as a January transfer target for Everton.
The Ivory Coast international has impressed since joining the Portuguese giants from Roma this summer, scoring against Steaua Bucuresti and Olympiacos in the Champions League.
Ronald Koeman, meanwhile, is believed to be looking for further reinforcements up front following the departure of Romelu Lukaku to Manchester United.
According to The Sun, the Dutch manager is hoping to launch a bid for Doumbia in the New Year, and is prepared to trigger the 29-year-old's £55m release clause.
Everton are currently in the bottom three of the Premier League table, with only two goals scored so far this season, both coming from Wayne Rooney.
