Everton have expressed an interest in signing former Arsenal striker Carlos Vela, according to reports.
The Mexican international, now plying his trade at Real Sociedad, scored 21 goals in all competitions for the La Liga outfit last season.
The Liverpool Echo claims that the 25-year-old is now looking for a new challenge, with Roberto Martinez said to be keen on giving him a second Premier League chance at Goodison Park.
Vela scored 11 goals in 62 games during his stint with the Gunners before leaving the Emirates in 2012.
