A last-gasp equaliser from Sidney Govou salvaged a point for Evian against fellow strugglers Caen.
Pierre-Alain Frau's penalty two minutes into first-half stoppage time had fired the home side into a half-time lead.
It was Frau who won the penalty after being brought down by Guillaume Rippert, who was shown a yellow card.
However, Evian captain Cedric Barbosa restored parity five minutes after the interval. The 35-year-old blazed a free-kick past Alexis Thebaux in the Caen goal.
The teams were not level for long, and seven minutes later Livio Nabab put Caen in front once again. The youngster latched onto Gregory Proment's through-ball and duly dispatched it beneath a diving Stephan Andersen.
Victory looked all but complete, that was before Govou pounced in the fourth minute of added time to grab a point for the visitors. A goalmouth scramble resulted in the veteran striker hammering home.
The draw means both teams stay where they are in Ligue 1, with Evian occupying 14th and Caen a place below in 15th.
