A stoppage-time winner from Paul Baysse earned Stade Brest a deserved victory over Evian TG at Stade Francis-le Ble.
Brest had dominated most of the match but fine saves from Bertrand Laquait - to deny Charlison Benschop, Kamel Chafni and Bruno Grougi - had looked to have done enough to secure a draw for the visitors.
However, in the first minute of second-half stoppage time, Baysse rose highest in the six-yard box to head home and give his side a precious first goal of the season.
Brest's next game is away at Saint-Etienne a week tomorrow.
