Bafetimbi Gomis showed the club's travelling support a glimpse of his scoring prowess as he netted in Swansea City's 2-0 pre-season friendly win at Exeter City this evening.
He opened his account for the South Wales outfit on 31 minutes after Ki Sung-yeung linked up with Neil Taylor and the full-back found the ex-Lyon striker, who tucked the ball beyond young Exeter keeper Christy Pym.
The hosts almost nabbed a shock equaliser with half time approaching when Arron Davies's free kick was turned onto the crossbar by David Wheeler, with Gerhard Tremmel beaten in the Swans' goal.
However, within a matter of seconds Swansea's new attacking threat almost made it two, only to see his effort come back off the woodwork.
The Premier League side made their class show late in the second half when they doubled their advantage, after Wilfried Bony's through-ball found Josh Sheehan and the teenager made no mistake in finding the back of the net.
Bony himself almost added a third in the 90th minute, but Garry Monk's men controlled much of the second half to emerge victorious.
The Swans open their Premier League campaign away to Manchester United on August 16.
