The Football Association have announced that Sleaford Town and Huntingdon Town have been kicked out of the FA Cup following a mass brawl during their first-round qualifying match.

The game in question was abandoned due to the unsavoury scenes that took place on September 14, resulting in an FA charge for both clubs.

Following an independent regulatory commission hearing, it has been confirmed that both clubs have been removed from the competition and each fined £150.

A statement from the FA said: "The charge, which both clubs admitted, was a failure to ensure their players and/or officials and/or supporters conducted themselves in an orderly fashion and/or refrained from provocative and/or violent behaviour.

"The FA Cup Sub Committee decided that, within its powers under FA Cup Rule 1(g), both clubs are removed from this season's competition following the abandonment of their FA Cup tie."

AFC Sudbury have been awarded a place in the second qualifying round, but the removed clubs have the right to appeal.
