Rangers have taken a one-goal lead in at half time in their Scottish Championship clash with Falkirk at Ibrox.
Ally McCoist brought David Templeton into the starting lineup after he came off the bench and scored in the 3-0 win over Cowdenbeath on Tuesday, and he was involved in the opening goal.
After 25 minutes of Rangers pressure in which Darren McGregor and Kenny Miller had efforts stopped, Templeton picked out Nicky Law who fired home right-footed from the centre of the box, beating Jamie MacDonald at his bottom left corner.
Templeton continued to cause Falkirk trouble, having an effort of his own saved on the half-hour mark. At the other end, Joe Shaughnessy's right-footed effort from the centre of the box whistled past the post.
That represented Falkirk's best chance of the half, with Peter Houston's men knowing they will have to improve in the second period if they are to get anything out of the game.
