Borussia Dortmund have secured an emphatic 4-0 win away at FC Ingolstadt 04 in their Bundesliga clash at the Audi Sportpark, with all four goals coming in the second half.

The visitors were first to threaten as Marco Reus was played in on the edge of the box six minutes in, but he sliced the ball narrowly wide of the right post. Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang then came close after picking up a pass from Reus, but the resulting shot again flew just wide.

The hosts, taking part in their first ever top-flight home game, were under the cosh for the majority of the half as Henrikh Mkhitaryan, Neven Subotic and further efforts from Reus and Aubameyang pummelled Orjan Nyland's area.

Ingolstadt survived until the break, but Dortmund soon broke down the opposition's resistance when Matthias Ginter collected Mkhitaryan's layoff and slotted home from close range into the bottom-left corner.

On the hour, Moritz Hartmann's foul in the box prompted the referee to award the visitors a penalty, which Reus confidently powered into the left-hand side of goal.

Six minutes from the end, the result was all but confirmed when Jonas Hofmann teed up Shinji Kagawa on the edge of the box, who duly fired the ball into the bottom right corner, but there was still time for a fourth when Aubameyang drilled home in the second minute of injury time.
