Willem Janssen scored twice as FC Utrecht came from behind to draw 3-3 against the 10 men of Cambuur.
Sjoerd Overgoor thought he had given Cambuur an early lead with his long-range effort heading into the top corner but Utrecht goalkeeper Robbin Ruiter saved the strike.
Cambuur then went ahead midway through the first half through Bartholomew Ogbeche, who headed home a Marlon Pereira cross past a helpless Ruiter.
Overgoor had another chance just before the break but the 27-year-old pulled his shot wide following a corner for his side.
Utrecht would reply within seven minutes of the restart as Janssen was put through on goal by Sean Klaiber and the captain dispatched the chance to equalise.
However, Ogbeche restored Cambuur's lead nine minutes later by tapping in from yards out after being assisted by Martijn Barto.
Sander van der Streek put Cambuur three goals to the good with 20 minutes to go but Utrecht hit back almost instantly, with Nacer Barazite placing a shot past Harm Zeinstra in goal.
Janssen was gifted the chance to draw Utrecht level in the final moments after Zeinstra was sent off for a foul on Kristoffer Peterson and the Dutchman dispatched his penalty past substitute Leonard Nienhuis.
The draw keeps Cambuur in the relegation places in 17th while Utrecht remain in mid-table in the Eredivisie.
