Villarreal striker Roberto Soldado has agreed terms on a reported £4.5m move to Fenerbahce after the release clause in his contract was met.
The former Tottenham Hotspur flop is due to arrive in Istanbul and undergo a medical in the next 24 hours, before a deal is officially finalised.
Both teams have confirmed that an agreement is in place for the 32-year-old, who scored nine league goals in his two years with Villarreal upon joining from Spurs.
Soldado, who also boasts Real Madrid and Valencia on his CV, only managed 10 appearances in La Liga last term due to an anterior cruciate ligament injury.
Fenerbahce have also brought in Nabil Dirar and Mathieu Valbuena this summer for a combined fee of roughly £5.5m, while Carlos Kameni and Mauricio Isla have joined as free agents.
