Nijmegen vs. RKC Waalwijk (Sunday, 11.15am)

In their final involvement before the World Cup kicks off, NEC and RKC Waalwijk will go head to head at the Goffertstadion on Sunday afternoon in matchday 14 of the 2022-23 Eredivisie season.

Both teams returned to winning ways in their most recent outings and they will be looking to pick up where they left off by securing all three points this weekend.

We say: NEC 1-1 RKC Waalwijk

There is little separating the teams ahead of this one and the game could easily swing either way. We expect a closely-contested affair with honours even come the sound of the final whistle.

Groningen vs. Sittard (Sunday, 1.30pm)

Off the back of a first defeat in four games last time out, Groningen play host to Fortuna Sittard in round 14 of the 2022-23 Eredivisie season.

Meanwhile, the visiting team make the trip to Euroborg this weekend looking to end a run of five matches across all competitions without a victory.

We say: Groningen 1-0 Fortuna Sittard

The teams have struggled of late heading into this one, and that could give rise to a tense affair. That said, we just about fancy the hosts to come away with all three points at the sound of the final whistle.

Heerenveen vs. Cambuur (Sunday, 1.30pm)

Heerenveen and Cambuur go head-to-head in their final outing of 2022 at the Abe Lenstra Stadion on Sunday in matchday 14 of the 2022-23 Eredivisie season.

The sides head into this one in contrasting forms with the hosts looking for a fourth win in five matches, while their visitors will be aiming to snap a three-game losing run.

We say: Heerenveen 2-1 Cambuur

The onus is more on Heerenveen to take control of proceedings and get the job done on their own patch. While we expect Cambuur to put up a good fight, we are backing the home side to claim a narrow win in the end.

Feyenoord vs. Excelsior (Sunday, 3.45pm)

A fourth consecutive win across all competitions will be the target for Feyenoord when they play host to Eredivisie newcomers SBV Excelsior on Sunday.

On the other hand, the away side head to De Kuip this weekend aiming to avoid a third defeat on the bounce and get their league campaign back on track.

We say: Feyenoord 3-1 SBV Excelsior

Feyenoord have been solid at the back all season long, and while we expect them to be breached defensively here, we also fancy them to do enough damage at the top end of the pitch to secure all three points.

Go Ahead Eagles vs. Vitesse (Sunday, 7.00pm)

Go Ahead Eagles will be looking to extend their unbeaten run in the Eredivisie to nine matches when Vitesse come to town on Sunday evening in the league's final fixture before the World Cup and winter break.

Despite the hosts' remarkable form of late, only two points separate the two sides going into this clash, highlighting the competitiveness of the Dutch top flight, especially in the lower half of the table.

We say: Go Ahead Eagles 2-1 Vitesse

Go Ahead Eagles are on a great run of form and will not feel like giving it up easily in their final match before the World Cup break.

Vitesse earned a solid point at Ajax in the week but expended a lot of energy whilst doing so, so another away assignment this weekend could be too much to handle for Cocu's side.
