FC Twente continued their run of draws in the Eredivisie this season when they played out a goalless tie with Feyenoord in the Dutch top flight this afternoon.
The visitors came close to opening the scoring when Darryl Lachman chipped the ball onto his own crossbar while trying to make a clearance, before Lex Immers denied Nick Marsman from the rebound.
It looked like Feyenoord would go ahead just after the half hour mark when Cuco Martina brought Jean-Paul Boetius down in the box, but Marsman saved Mitchell te Vrede's penalty.
The hosts looked the more likely at the start of the second half when Kamohelo Mokotjo unleashed a powerful strike, but Erwin Mulder managed to tip it over.
Jens Toornstra, who was making his first appearance for the side, also came close for Twente, but his free kick drifted just wide of the post.
Jordy Clasie almost stole the win for Feyenoord late on, but the midfielder nodded the ball inches wide, before Elvis Manu had an effort cleared off the line, ensuring that the sides finished level.
The result leaves FC Twente 13th in the table, while Feyenoord remain 10th, with just one win from their first four matches.
