Feyenoord have thrashed a struggling FC Twente side 5-0 in Sunday's Eredivisie clash at De Kuip to keep up the pressure on league leaders Ajax.
Simon Gustafson opened the scoring for the hosts after just seven minutes as he collected Eljero Elia's incisive pass and fired home from outside the box.
The Swedish midfielder added a second just before the half-hour mark when he was first to a rebound from Michiel Kramer's shot and slotted past Joel Drommel.
Any hopes that Twente had of getting back into the game were crushed immediately after the restart, with Dirk Kuyt's cross into the area headed home by Kramer.
Four minutes later Feyenoord added further gloss to the scoreline thanks to Karim El Ahmadi's finish from Rick Karsdorp's pass.
Twente's afternoon would get even worse after Tim Holscher saw red for a foul on Karsdorp and Bilal Basacikoglu added a fifth in injury time.
The result sees Feyenoord climb back to second, while the Enschede side remain in 15th place.
