Fiorentina have completed the signing of Josip Ilicic from Palermo for a figure in the region of £8m.
The 25-year-old, who has been capped 22 times by Slovenia, had previously been linked with a move to AC Milan. However, the attacker has now agreed terms on a long-term contract with the Viola.
"Ilicic will arrive and the surprises aren't over yet. We will reinforce the midfield and make this team even stronger," Fiorentina chief Andrea Della Valle told supporters on Tuesday.
Mario Gomez, Massimo Ambrosini, Marcos Alonso and Joaquin have also arrived at the club this summer.
