Fiorentina striker Adem Ljajic looks likely to complete a move to Roma, with reports suggesting he will undergo a medical with the capital club on Wednesday.
The 21-year-old rejected the offer of a contract renewal from Vincenzo Montella's side and had been linked with rivals AC Milan.
However, according to Sky Sport Italia journalist Gianluca Di Marzio, after a final meeting on Tuesday he bid farewell to his current teammates as he closes in on a £8.6m switch, which is likely to rise to over £11m with performance-related bonuses.
Fiorentina have wasted little time in signing a replacement, with Croatian youngster Ante Rebic joining from RNK Split on a four-year contract.
