Fleetwood Town boss Graham Alexander has insisted that he is not envious of Bradford's recent transfer activity.
The Bantams have brought in a number of new faces this summer, including former Town loanee Josh Morris - a player Alexander was thought to have been interested in signing.
However, ahead of this weekend's meeting between the two sides, the 43-year-old has stressed that he will never use spending power as an excuse.
"It's just a fact of life," he is quoted as saying by Fleetwood Weekly News. "It's been us in that position at other levels. We don't moan or look with envy at other clubs.
"Some people do but I don't believe in it - you should be proud of what you have got. That's what we are. Whoever we play against, you'll never hear me bring up the excuse that their budget is this, that or the other.
"There are no guarantees in football. We're confident in the players we have and the club we are."
The Cod Army are 10th in the League One table ahead of Saturday's clash, level on points with Bradford who sit one place below.
