Fortuna Dusseldorf have been held to a goalless draw by Freiburg at home in the Bundesliga.
The first chance of the game fell to the home side in the second minute, when Robbie Kruse tried his luck from outside the box.
That sparked the dominance of Dusseldorf in the opening minutes, with Dani Schahin and Jens Langeneke attempting to open the scoring.
However, Freiburg soon came back into the game, with Julian Schuster, Karim Guede and Daniel Caligiuri testing host goalkeeper Fabian Giefer.
The exchange of chances continued in the first half, with Schahin and Andreas Lambertz getting opportunities for Dusseldorf, and Caligiuri and Cedric Makiadi coming close for Freiburg.
The second half continued in the same tone, as Schahin's attempt to turn Kruse's cross went wide.
Lambertz too saw his shot from inside the Freiburg area go wide, before Nando Rafael's left-footed attempt from a difficult angle rattled the crossbar in the 90th minute.
