Leverkusen have smashed Dusseldorf after a very strong second-half performance.
The game had a very slow start and it was 15 minutes until the first chance, but Axel Bellinghausen fired a left-footed effort wide.
Just after the 20-minute mark Leon Balogun was booked for a foul in the box, which allowed Stefan Kiessling to step up and bury a penalty to give Leverkusen the lead.
Dusseldorf came forward after the goal and were rewarded a few minutes before the break as Daniel Schwaab put through his own net.
The hosts started to get on top and won a series of corners but it was Leverkusen who went ahead again at the other end with Andre Schurrle scoring a fine goal.
After that the floodgates opened, with first Kiessling setting up Schurrle for his second before grabbing his own and Leverkusen's fourth with two minutes left.
