France midfielder Franck Ribery has said that he had "a great game" against Group D opponents Ukraine at Euro 2012.
France, who had not won a match in a major international competition since 2006, overcame the co-hosts with two second-half goals to send them to the top of the group on goal difference.
"It was important to win," he told reporters.
"We want to attack and score all the time. Then later, we will have to make sense of things. But now, it feels good.
"I had a good match against England and tonight I also had a great game."
Meanwhile, teammate Karim Benzema has spoken of the team's pride following the win.
