French national coach Laurent Blanc has revealed that he wants to extend his stay in the role.
The former defender, who will lead his country into next year's Euro 2012, hopes to sort out his contract before the tournament in Poland and the Ukraine.
"I want to [continue]," Blanc told RMC Radio. "We're a young team, it was fundamental to qualify for Euro 2012 to gain the experience I hope enables us to qualify for the 2014 World Cup, which will be very difficult.
"I would rather it was decided before [the Euro]. It's true that if I get some signs about an extension I will be attentive to them. If I don't get [any signs] maybe I will envisage something else."
France were involved in the Euro 2012 seeds draw on Wednesday morning.
