France coach Didier Deschamps has insisted that his players are taking Nigeria seriously ahead of their last-16 clash at the World Cup.
Les Bleus are the favourites to reach the quarter-finals when the teams face each other in Brasilia tonight (Monday) following an unbeaten run in the group stage.
However, Deschamps is aware that the Nigerians are more then capable of causing an upset against his side.
"It's not like the group phase, where you can make amends. The verdict falls at the end of the match," he told FIFA.com.
"It's a cup configuration, it's the second phase of the competition. We prepare for the matches with the same seriousness, but at the end, either you stay or you go home."
France finished the group stage at the top of Group E with two wins and a draw.
