France left-back Patrice Evra has said that Les Bleus squad is in good spirits ahead of their second Group E game against Switzerland on Friday, which is a stark contrast to the rifts that have blighted them in the last two international tournaments.
Evra said that all the players are "proud" to pull on the France shirt and that current captain Hugo Lloris is doing a better job than he did at the last World Cup in 2010.
"The scary thing about this France squad is that everything is fine," Sport24 quotes Evra as saying. "There are no problems with egos. We feel proud to wear the shirt.
"In 2010, I took my role too seriously. I always love myself. I know that's a little arrogant but I loved the Pat of 2010 and I love the Pat of 2014."
France won their opening game 3-0 against Honduras.
