France international midfielder Blaise Matuidi has insisted that his side can defeat Spain at home on Tuesday.
Les Bleus will host the reigning European and world champions at Stade de France in a World Cup Group I qualifier.
"We realised that we have a lot of quality [in the win against Georgia] and that we can pose problems for any team out there," Matuidi told Ligue1.com.
"Still, the return leg [against Spain] will be complicated; Spain will be looking for revenge for the 1-1 draw last year. But we know what to expect because it won't be any different from the previous time we played them.
"They are a side who like to have possession and dictate terms but we have what it takes to counter them."
France are currently two points clear of second-placed Spain at the top of Group I.
