Former France striker Louis Saha has claimed that Samir Nasri should not have been left out of the current squad for the World Cup.
The Manchester City midfielder was controversially omitted by coach Didier Deschamps amid claims that the 26-year-old can be a disruptive influence in the dressing room.
Despite fears that Nasri could upset the dynamic of the squad out in Brazil, Saha believes that he should be playing at the tournament.
"It's difficult because he's a great player, you should pick the best players in the team," he is quoted as saying by Goal.com.
"Nasri proved over the years that sometimes he could be difficult to manage but it's never been the case for Man City for some reason, he always behaves and always performs.
"Deschamps made a decision, and for me it's the wrong decision because Nasri could help France achieve things."
